Debra L. Rothenberg is an award winning photographer residing in New York City. She earned a bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photographic Illustration/Photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is an accomplished professional whose photographic range consists of music/concerts, celebrities, news, sports, CD and book covers, newspapers and magazines, portraiture, children, events, public relations and weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. She has been the concert photographer for New York Daily News since 1999. Her extensive clientele includes ABC-TV, People, Rolling Stone Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Columbia/CBS Records, EMI Music Publishing, Prudential, New York University, Williams College, Feature Photo Service, Oscar-Einzig Photography, CUNY, Aero-Industrial Communications, and The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey among many others. Among her many accomplishments is a National First Place award in the sports category from the National Press Photographers Association. One of her images appeared on several Bruce Springsteen official tour t-shirts for his 1999-2000 World Tour. Other published work includes People, US Weekly, OK, Time, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly, Spin Magazine, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Life and Style, New York Magazine, In Touch and many more. Debra has held a variety of staff positions at daily newspapers in several states, as well as Chief Photographer and Photo Editor. Her photography has been distributed and exhibited worldwide in galleries, newspapers, magazines, books, CD covers, and many web sites. Whether photographing a news event, sports, wedding, Bar Mitzvah, celebrity portrait or concert, her photographic style incorporates the energy, emotion and passion she not only feels for her photography, but for life in general. She is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and is listed in Who’s Who Among American Women. She has traveled all over the country and the world for her photography.
